Are you a fan of baking? Then you won’t want to miss Junior Bake Off, the hit show that showcases the talents of young bakers from across the UK. Hosted by Harry Hill, the show sees 10 top junior bakers compete in a series of baking challenges, with the ultimate goal of being crowned the winner of Junior Bake Off. Each episode is jam-packed with delicious baked goods, nail-biting tension, and plenty of fun and laughter.

The judges, Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill, are on hand to offer guidance and critique the bakers’ creations. They are also joined by special guest judge, Paul Hollywood, who adds an extra layer of expertise to the judging panel.

In each episode, the bakers must tackle a different baking challenge. From classic doughnuts to fruit tarts, the bakers must use their imagination and technique to impress the judges. In the “Pastry Day” episode, the bakers are tasked with creating a twist on a classic doughnut. In the “Showstopper” challenge, the bakers must build a scene into a fruit tart that offers an insight into their biggest phobias. The competition is fierce, with only one baker being eliminated each day. But it’s not just about the baking – the show also delves into the personal lives of the bakers, giving viewers a glimpse into their homes, families, and inspirations.

Junior Bake Off episode 6 2023

Junior Bake Off is a British television baking competition in which young bakers aged 9 to 15 tackle a series of challenges involving baking cakes, biscuits, bread, and pastries, competing to be crowned Junior Bake Off Champion.

The series debuted in 2011 as a spin-off from The Great British Bake Off and is also produced by Love Productions. Four series of Junior Bake Off were broadcast on CBBC from 2011 to 2016. Following its parent series’ departure from the BBC in 2017, Junior Bake Off resumed with a fifth series in 2019 on Channel 4, with comedian Harry Hill as presenter and Prue Leith and Liam Charles as judges. The fifth series concluded on 22 November 2019. The show returned for a sixth series on 11 January 2021. Junior Bake Off returned Monday 10 January 2022 for its seventh series.

Paul Hollywood

The elder statesman of Bake Off, Paul is the only member of the team who has been with the show since its very beginning, originally judging alongside Mary Berry until the move to Channel 4 in 2017. Paul also hosts the US version of the programme, The American Baking Competition and has served as head baker at a number of hotels in the UK and abroad, after first beginning his career at his father’s bakery when he was still in his teens.

Although it was Bake Off that really made Paul a household name, he had made some other TV appearances beforehand on shows including The Heaven and Earth Show and This Morning, while since making his name as a judge he has appeared on a number of programmes including his own show Paul Hollywood’s Pies and Puds.

Paul is known for his often harsh comments and for setting frequently challenging tasks in the signature challenge, while his coveted “Hollywood handshakes” reserved for the very best bakes have become a popular feature of the show.
