Mary Berry Cooks – For a Crowd dishes:
1. Rich beef and mushroom stew
This is a rich and comforting stew that is smart enough to serve for a dinner party. I like to serve it with mashed potatoes or my potatoes dauphinoise and a green vegetable.
 2. Foolproof green salad
There is nothing worse than a boring bowl of green leaves served at a table with a meal. I like to add some crunchy vegetables to it and I have a trick to let you make this ahead so the lettuce doesn’t wilt even though you prepared it a couple of hours ago!
 3. Meringue tranche with berries and cream
This pavlova style dessert baked in two rectangles looks spectacular arranged down the length of the table and it is easy to serve. The meringue can be made days ahead too. Top with your favourite fruits.
 4. Chocolate and Orange Panna Cotta
Italian panna cotta is a perfect pudding for a special occasion. Mary Berry’s chocolate and orange recipe is deceptively easy to make and they turn out beautifully every time.
 5. Wholegrain mustard mash
Mash is wonderful if made correctly. Use floury potatoes and do not under-cook them.
