Young MasterChef 2023 episode 7

Young MasterChef 2023 episode 7: Only six Young MasterChef cooks remain. Judges Poppy and Kerth have guided them this far, and they must now grab the trolley by the handles….literally. In a series first, the contestants must work in pairs to dash around the local supermarket to cook a meal with a budget of £30. Dishes must be created individually, but pairs must work together to spend cash wisely and design a menu to impress judges.

The judges aren’t alone for this one. They are joined by YouTube star, chef and author Big Has, who knows a thing or two about delicious grub, and tonight he wants a feast. With a chance for a spot in the final five of the first ever Young MasterChef series, they must push harder than ever before to progress. For just one of the cooks whose dish doesn’t quite deliver, their competition comes to a close.

The amateur cooks from all over the UK must put their personality on a plate and show that they have the culinary chops to take the competition head on. What has Gen Z got to say for themselves behind the stove? Has all of the social media scrolling and family compliments resulted in a chef-to-be? The judges are about to find out. With only three spots in the competition up for grabs, the cooks must leave nothing behind. For two of them, it’s the end of the road.

The show provides a platform for young cooks to showcase their culinary skills, creativity and passion for cooking. In each episode, the contestants are given challenges to test their abilities, including cooking for a panel of judges, preparing dishes for special guests, and creating meals in a limited amount of time. The judges, who are experienced chefs, provide constructive feedback and determine who will be eliminated each week. The show not only aims to encourage the young contestants to pursue their passion for cooking but also aims to inspire viewers of all ages to get creative in the kitchen. The contestants come from diverse backgrounds and bring their own unique flavors, traditions, and cooking styles to the competition, making each episode a feast for the senses.

Young MasterChef is not just about cooking, it is also about teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience. The contestants have to work together to complete tasks, support each other through the challenges, and overcome obstacles along the way. They learn valuable life skills, such as time management, problem-solving, and communication, which they can carry with them beyond the competition. The winner of Young MasterChef is awarded with a prize that can help further their culinary dreams, such as cooking classes or a trip to a world-renowned restaurant. The show provides a great opportunity for young chefs to build their confidence, gain experience and get recognition for their talent and hard work.

MasterChef is a competitive cooking show television format created by Franc Roddam, which originated with the UK version in July 1990. The format was revived and updated for the BBC in February 2005 by executive producers Roddam and John Silver with series producer Karen Ross.

The revived format is sold internationally by Banijay. Its first international adaptation was MasterChef Australia, which began in 2009, and then the adaptation was executed within several other countries of the world. The show’s format has been exported around the world under the same MasterChef logo, and is now produced in more than 40 countries and airs in over 200 territories.

The format has appeared most often in four major versions: the main MasterChef series, MasterChef: The Professionals for professional working chefs, Celebrity MasterChef featuring well known celebrities as the contestants and Junior MasterChef, a version created and adapted for children, which was first developed in 1994 and has also expanded to other countries in recent years.

Despite the four major versions, in 2012, Australia created the fifth version called MasterChef All-Stars, for former contestants to raise money for charity. In 2018, Ukraine created MasterChef Teens, for teenage contestants. Brazil created MasterChef: Para Tudo (MasterChef: Stop Everything), a TV show featuring interviews with judges and former contestants, plus recipes and memes, presented by Ana Paula Padrão.
