In Garden Rescue episode 16 2019, Charlie Dimmock and the Rich brothers Harry and David are in St.Ives, Cambridgeshire, answering a Garden Rescue SOS from Bernadette. Bernadette is a dedicated social worker for troubled adults who has always put the needs of others before herself. However, having just recently turned 60, Bernadette finally wants some ‘me time’. A new garden can give her that well deserved reward. With a budget of only £2000, however, can the team give Bernadette the garden makeover she deserves?
Garden Rescue episode 16 2019 – St Ives
Bernadette loves to relax in the garden of an evening and potter about tending her many garden pots, but the one thing she doesn’t like to do is cut the grass, so she’s requested that whatever happens in her garden makeover, the lawn goes! As ever, the Rich Brothers and Charlie go head to head to create the perfect garden design for Bernadette but who will win? Will it be Charlie’s garden, with its matching pair of new off-set wooden decks, one at the top of the garden and one at the bottom, joined together by a central path of concrete stepping stones?
Or will it be the brother’s garden that throws away the straight lines for a curving, twisting mix of bound gravel paths and deep planting, complete with half hidden al fresco dinning areas and a subtle water feature? And, more importantly, can the three gardeners, with the help of their regular landscape team, successfully deliver the garden Bernadette needs to truly relax after the end of her stressful days at work?
