Sophie hits the road and heads to rosier pastures – the Wagner’s Rose Nursery in Kalangadoo, South Australia, to see just what is involved in growing and selling this most beloved of plants.

Dario and Michele Franzinelli have a large residential block in suburban Perth that is absolutely overflowing with productive plants and fruiting trees, ranging from the everyday to the exotic. Eight years ago, there was still plenty of space to grow for the couple, including their front yard, and even the nature strip. On this visit, Josh finds that this is one couple who are truly growing food instead of lawns – and loving it!
