Raphael: A Sensitive Genius – Raphael, one of the most outstanding artists of the Italian Renaissance, has left an indelible mark on the world of art. Yet, he is often overshadowed by his contemporaries Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Five hundred years after his death, a documentary aims to reintroduce this sensitive genius to the world. The documentary, guided by art historian Luca Tomio, retraces Raphael’s artistic education starting from his birthplace, the Duchy of Urbino. With the help of documents, unpublished testimonies, and an expert theatre company, we have retraced the decisive events of his life.
